Bhimashankar Sugar factory started on the border of Ambegaon-Shirur-Junnar taluka. As the factory started from 2000, the farmers and laborers got job and eventually got financial stability. Later, parents expressed hope for the nearby education facilities. The education of girls was being chased due to lack of education in the surrounding area. Under the vision and guidance of Mr. Diliprao Walse Patil (Former Home Minister, Maharashtra State) Bhimashankar Education Society was established in the year 2009, for the social and economic growth of the rural people. In 2013, Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil Mahavidyalay, Dattatray Walse Patil Higher Secondary School and Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil New English School were established. The institute has separate grand buildings for college and English medium with specious ground and all kinds of facilities, over thousand students are studying in pleasant environment. Trained teachers with higher education have been appointed for teaching. The institution has a reputation as a good educational institution

A) Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil College - Science Faculty started from June 2013 & Arts and Commerce Faculty started from June 2016. Today 750 students are studying in the college. Highly educated professors are appointed for them. Government of India scholarship, Tribal department scholarship, Rajarshree Shahu Maharaj scholarship facilities are available for the students. Apart from this, the students are benefiting from various kinds of scholarships of Savitribai Phule Pune University. Workshops, Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan, Earn and Learn Scheme, Disaster Management, Sports Competitions, Friendship Meetings, Science Competitions are organized. Independence Day, Republic Day and Maharashtra Day programs are celebrated by parents, villagers and officials together with great enthusiasm for national unity. So the social development of the students is promoted. Ms. Aarti Asware from the college has been selected in the JAM, IIT examination. Mr. Mayur Gholap student of B.Sc. from our college has passed M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry) from Pune University and received a total scholarship of Rs.30000/-. The college has bagged the runner-up position in the cultural competition Bhimashankar Karandak in Ambegaon taluka. Bhimashankar co-operative sugar factory always supports the college students. College students go to Bhimashankar co-operative sugar factory for demonstration. So they can get real work experience. Also Sharad Co-operative Bank always supports students for demonstration. There is a separate building of 64 rooms for the college. All the facilities are there in the college building such as Art, science laboratory, computer lab and well equipped library etc. NCC is starting in the college in the academic year 2022-23 for the students. NCC will give priority to students for jobs in defense and similar sectors. Magazine of the college 'Deepkiran' is published every year, thus to encourage students in writing. Due to the student-parent scheme, students interests are nurtured and cultural programs are organized to promote the artistic qualities of the students. B) Dattatray Walse Patil Higher Secondary School - Faculty of Science and Commerce has been started from June 2015-16. Highly educated and experienced teachers have been appointed for this faculty. Extra classes, practice exams, competitive exams are conducted for the overall progress of the students. In the academic year 2022-23, 215 students are enrolled in the higher secondary school in various classes. Online regular classes were started during the Corona period. This higher secondary school has a tradition of bright results. In the academic year 2021-22, 12th science and commerce department has got 100% results. It has achieved great success in special category. Mr. Siddharth Erande has received a scholarship of Rs.80,000/- from the Government of Maharashtra

C) D.G.Walse Patil New English School :- The English medium school was started in June 2013. In the academic year 2022-23, classes up to 9th standard are running. A total of 368 students are studying in the school. Students are admitted in school under the RTE 25% act as per rules. Till date 64 students are benefiting from RTE scheme in this academic year. Aundh Institute provided training of Marshal Credit Course to students and teachers from 11/04/2022 to 16/04/2022. During the academic year, teachers strive for all kinds of intellectual and physical progress. It has been recognized as a separate English medium school in the eastern region. For special progress, Annual function, digital classes, abacus classes, karate training, computer and painting classes, sports competitions, drama, mono act play competitions are conducted. For students transportation, 7 buses have been arranged on different routes according to the session. Efforts are made through parents and teachers to enrich the knowledge of English language. Online classes were started during the corona epidemic to preserve the educational interests of the students. Therefore, the school has been successful in preserving the educational interests of the students. Bhimashankar Education Society is moving towards progress due to proper planning, proper guidance and foresight of Hon'ble Mr. Diliprao Walse Patil Saheb (Former Home Minister of Maharashtra State) and all the directors and office bearers of Bhimashankar Education Society.

It gives me a great pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to the education campus of “Bhimashankar Shikshan Sanstha”.

The real asset of any nation is its people, especially the educated youth. Though, I have been working in various fields’ viz. social work, cooperative sector, education and politics, I have special affection for education. A College is Lighthouse, which gives Light of Knowledge and Wisdom. I am extremely delighted to see students from rural area are contributing in development of our society and nation with their knowledge and hard work.

Bhimashankar Shikshan Sanstha (BES) through its institutes made available educational facilities to people in all interior rural areas in the region. Situated at the bank of Ghod river, Pargaon (Shingave) is future education Hub. At present, under BES, we are running three institutes; D.G.Walse Patil New English School, Dattatray Walse Patil Higher Secondary School and Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil Mahavidyalaya.

Here we work for inculcating the knowledge, innovation and creativity to nurture the rural talent. The Institute has dedicated faculty and staff creating an environment, which is beneficial to the growth of the students. It has the most advanced educational infrastructure that too in rural area. The College imparts quality education from School-Junior College-Graduation in Arts, Commerce and Science faculties. The College intends to make the students competent enough to become an all-round citizen of India of 21st Century by excelling in education, sports, cultural activities, community services and social responsibilities. Various academic scholarships and schemes are available in the College for the overall development of our rural youth.

A Message from Chairman

Former MLA and Sahkar Maharshi Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil (Dada) dreamed of economic, social, cultural and educational development of Ambegaon tehsil. To fulfill this dream, under the guidance of former Union Agriculture and Defense Minister, four times Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Shri. Sharad Chandraji Pawar Saheb, Hon. Diliparavji Walse Patil Saheb Ex. Home Minister MS, made the best ever efforts. From these efforts, Bhimashankar Shikshan Sanstha was established in the year 2009 for the social and economic growth of the rural people in the nearby area. Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil Senior College was started in the year 2013 in the name of Honorable Dada to facilitate high quality education for the boys and girls in the eastern region of Ambegaon tehsil surrounded by villages of Junnar, Shirur, Parner and Rajgurunagar tehsils. Since 2013, the sprout started spreading roots in the soil here and expanding. With the support and blessings of all the directors, members and sugarcane farmers of Bhimashankar Sugar Factory, the sprouted seed has now grown into a good banyan tree.

The academic complex of the college comprises of spacious building, well-equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art computer room, library, spacious playground and parking lot. The college campus is under 24/7 surveillance using C. C. T. V. cameras. I strongly believe that over a very short time this BES will become a future education Hub. The college is benefiting from skillful leadership, experienced and expert principal, teaching and non-teaching staff. Student’s needs to take the advantage of the opportunities to develop their life in terms of the social and economic growth.

As a secretary of the Bhimashankar Skikshan Santha, I am delighted to welcome you all to our reputed educational institute, Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil Mahavidyalaya (BES). We have established BES campus here in Dattatraynagar, Pargaon Tarfe Awsari. Along with Senior College here we have started ease of education starting from KG to Graduation through D.G.Walse Patil New English School, Dattatray Walse Patil Higher Secondary School and Dattatray Govindrao Walse Patil Mahavidyalaya. We planned to start PG too in near future

A Message From Principal

Bhimashankar Institute of Education has been established in the year 2009 under the guidance of the founder of Bhimashankar Sugar Factory, Mr. Diliparavaji Walse Patil Saheb (Hon.Home Minister,Maha.State). The Institute has started the senior college in the name of sahakarmaharshri Dattatray Govindrao walse patil in the year 2013. The college has paved the way to education to the students from rural area which includes surrounding 51 villages. The college has organized educational, social, economic and cultural activities and brought a revolution in the area. The institution has provided a magnificent building for the students. The college has a well-equipped playground and laboratory too. The different kinds of various activities are being conducted by the college to give scope to the artistic and educational qualities of the students.

It gives me immense pleasure to communicate with you all as the Vice-Chairman of Bhimashankar Shikshan Sanstha, which is growing and developing rapidly over a short time of ten plus years. Our institution believes in bringing about changes that are a need of the time along with nurturing the moral and social values in the students. Transparency and commitment to quality are the mottos of the institution.

Along with huge and modern building, all the required infrastructural facilities of education comparable to national standards are available on the BES campus. The facilities includes well-equipped laboratories, fully loaded library, State-of-the-art computer room, library, reading hall, canteen and spacious playground. And the most important, human resources taller than huge buildings are the real wealth of our institution. Therefore, while opening the doors of education for rural students and making it accessible to the masses, it has been possible to render appropriate and effective guidance to meritorious and layman students too. In addition to various programs directed by Savitribai Phule Pune University, many activities are carried out with great enthusiasm for the personality and overall development of the student.
